DEAD WEIGHT PUBLIC PREMIERE ANNOUNCED!

The time has come, dear friends, to finally release Dead Weight to the world. This is a day that sometimes seemed would never arrive, but here we find ourselves. Not much else in life could bring us greater joy than to finally share this film with you.

Dead Weight Public Premiere Announcement

Head Trauma Productions LLC is thrilled to announce that their Oshkosh produced feature length debut, Dead Weight, is finally set for a public release. The highly anticipated film will premiere on March 30^th and 31^st, 2012 at the Time Community Theater, 445 N Main St., Oshkosh, WI. There will be one screening each day, both beginning at 8:00 PM.

Dead Weight tells the story of Charlie Russell as he passes through the wilderness in the wake of an apocalyptic viral outbreak to reunite with his girlfriend, Samantha. As Charlie’s journey brings him closer to his destination of Wausau, WI, he must face physical exhaustion, malicious survivors, and perhaps most menacing, his own emotional burdens. With his newfound traveling companions Charlie must attempt to break his obsessions with the past. He must learn to let it go.

For over two years writer/director team Adam Bartlett and John Pata have been working tirelessly to bring Dead Weight to the big screen. They began filming in April of 2011 after assembling a dedicated cast and crew from the Fox Valley, Milwaukee, and Chicago. Dead Weight was ultimately filmed over the course of 13 days in 2011, and has been in post-production since August.

Those who attend the public premiere will not only be able to view the film alongside members of the cast and crew, but can also be amongst the first to purchase the DVD release of Dead Weight. The DVD package will contain two discs loaded with bonus features, commentaries, and a full-length making-of documentary detailing the entire filmmaking process through interviews with those involved in the production. There will also be a limited edition version of the DVD release containing artwork by comic book artist Tony Moore (The Walking Dead, Fear Agent, Venom, The Punisher).
